Welcome & Hello!

Carrie Masterson

Hello! I am Carrie Masterson, your incumbent for State Central Committee Woman. I humbly ask for your vote as the candidate who will represent your Christian, conservative Republican values.

I was born and raised in Newark, Ohio, and have lived in Licking County, Ohio all of my life. I have a daughter attending graduate school in Texas, and a son attending undergrad school in Michigan. As a life-long conservative, I support all traditional conservative values including God as my creator, America-first policies, small government, fiscal responsibility and transparency from all governmental and public institutions, and the sanctity of life.

After my predecessor resigned from her position in my district, I ran for appointment to replace her as Ohio’s State Central Committee Woman in District 20. I am currently running to retain my seat in the March 2024 Primary Election.

It is my job to seek and endorse candidates running for office at the state and federal level. I will endeavor to endorse candidates who strongly support our country’s Constitution and Bill of Rights and who will protect our unalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, who will vociferously defend our First Amendment and Second Amendment rights, private property rights, and completely secure our borders.

If you desire the same for our great state of Ohio and for America’s preservation from the onslaught of woke ideology and indoctrination, I am your incumbent!

Please vote for me, Carrie Masterson, on March 19th. Thank you so much for your support!

Carrie Masterson
Ohio State Central Committee Woman, District 20.

March 11, 2024

I signed this letter to our State Party Chair. I fully support this action. I will join the State Central Committee in any efforts to undo the actions of the Blue 22 by supporting solid, conservative candidates.

WHO ARE THE “BLUE 22?”

Do you live in a "Blue 22" incumbent's district?

Carrie Masterson

As a State Central Committee member, it is my job to vet and endorse Republican candidates for state and federal elections, and to vote on the state Republican platform. It is my desire to help facilitate unification within our party while not compromising the traditional Republican values of myself and my constituents.

The Republican values and agenda were compromised last January 2023, by the “Blue 22,” the 22 Republican representatives who traitorously voted—for personal gain--with the Democrats to elect the Dem’s House Speaker of choice. Two of those representatives are from my district. The actions of the Blue 22 and our current Speaker, Jason Stephens, enabled the Democrats to kill the Backpack Bill. One of my district reps co-sponsored that Bill. That Bill would have given parents a school choice and allowed their school tax dollars to follow their child to their schooling choice.

One of my district reps co-sponsored that Bill. He came to a meeting that I attended to introduce himself and his family. I was happy with what I heard and supported and recommended him. I respect his law enforcement background and enjoyed meeting his lovely family, so I was very disappointed to hear that he had gone back on his word to support the endorsed speaker candidate that he had spoken so highly of. The Republicans had a super majority and should have swept most House votes, and he felt we had the votes to pass the Bill. His reasons for voting against the party’s endorsed candidate have kept changing since the morning of that vote.

The Blue 22 also helped delay the Republican’s Issue 1 from getting on the May ballot. Issue 1 sought to raise the bar to amend our state constitution, particularly from the radical leftist amendment that was likely to be on the November ballot. That delay caused a special election last August; thus preventing it from being reworked for the November ballot. That delay and loss greatly assisted the passing of the liberal’s November Issue 1 which amended our state constitution to allow open-ended abortion and transgender surgeries/cross-hormones administered, and with no parental notification for minors.

The Blue 22 were unanimously censured by the State Central Committee for their actions. Accordingly, the State Central Committee chose not to endorse in the races involving the Blue 22 incumbents.

With the election looming, Blue 22 representatives did vote to override Governor DeWine’s unfortunate veto of House Bill 68, the necessary “Band-Aid” for the November constitutional amendment. House Bill 68 is to prevent transgender surgeries and abortions to minors without parental consent and to prevent men from playing in women’s sports. The Blue 22 are patting themselves on the back for this fix while attacking their fellow Republican opponents with brutal ads.

Speaker Stephens is currently using Ohio House Republican Alliance funds to do attack ads against fellow Republicans opposing Blue 22 incumbents. I signed a letter to the Ohio Republican Chair to support an ongoing effort to remove the control of the Alliance funds from Speaker Stephens and to be placed in control of the Party Chair with instructions on how the funds are to be used.

While these Blue 22 incumbents have friends and supporters in my district, I do not feel it wise to support them now that they have compromised themselves and are censured. Union money is supporting their campaigns which likely is the money that bought their votes. I will do my part in preventing these actions in the future. The State Central Committee has already passed a resolution for sanctions of anyone committing such an act again.

Thank you for entrusting your vote for me for State Central Committee Woman.
